Bjelkes Allé
Located in the heart of the exciting and multicultural Copenhagen neighbourhood, Nørrebro, two small apartments in different levels were converted into one single unit. The solutions were thought to maximize the spaces and keep it efficient and aesthetically clean. The floors were divided into private and social zones, allowing flexibilty for future needs. On the 3rd floor, the previous narrow and dark entrance receives now natural light from a translucent wall in polycarbonate and Dinesen wood, working as a playfull shelving system from inside of the bedroom. The space in the rooms were optimized with a system of built-in wardrobes that fullfills the client storage needs and allows a clean circulation. The built-ins and translucent wall are conected to the stairs also in Dinesen, leading to the 4th floor. Upstairs were placed the social areas with a living room and a dining + kitchen area that were optimized through a L shaped system of cabinets working as a colored functional niche, making a statement while visually conecting the rooms.
